SPACE SUITS ARE DESIGNED WRONG

Here’s a test: try not to scratch your nose, itch your forehead, rub your eyes. Try not to do this for an hour. My head itches just thinking about not doing it. Why would they make a space suit so you can’t touch your face, feed yourself, pick your nose?

All you need to do is make it so you can pull your arm out of the sleeve. Why not have that? Just give a little more room in your chest so you can move your arm up. There is NO law in space that a space suit has to fit like clothing? It should be the opposite since it doesn’t weigh anything (yes, still mass). So give yourself room to feed yourself, get a drink yourself, wipe off some sweat. It would be easy!

Actually, how far could you go with this? I like the idea of having legs so you can walk around, and if you’re on the moon or Mars, you don’t want too much width around your midsection and head or it would get cumbersome, but it still should be better than what we see from NASA. Maybe have a seat in your pants so you can sit down and relax. Maybe have a water bottle, a washcloth, a Clif bar, some Tang.

How many other things are designed for looks more than effectiveness?
